Radio Vinci Park

Theo Mercier has also been working as a stage director, enjoying great success. He has already directed three productions, which were presented in many countries and on several continents; his stage work is supported and followed by many institutions and festivals.
Radio Vinci Park, Théo Mercier’s second production, premiered at the Ménagerie de Verre (Paris) and was performed many times internationally. In a car park, to the sound of a harpsichord going through the baroque repertoire, from Henri Purcell to Michael Nyman, Théo Mercier staged a dance of seduction, love and death between an impassive biker and a mysterious, androgynous character played by dancer, singer and choreographer François Chaignaud. The audience sitting around them were witness to this indecisive, both daily and mythological scene, in which all the scary aspects of underground car parks played a part – their darkness, their solitude, their silence, their dangerousness.
