The "Place Franz Liszt" project is an attempt to have a perception of a place without using sensory data, but rather by way of testimony. The artist asked the residents of the Franz Liszt square in Paris to send him their personal point of view about the place they inhabit by written descriptions. From these elements the artist re-created the square, first mapping out the buildings and the streets, then adding the various elements that give the square its particular look as he learned about them.
